Well, I don't know about you other mothers out there, but being home all summer with the kids out of school scares me a little bit. I know I just had one in school, but it was so much easier to have just two for most of the day. The reason it scares me a little bit is that my boys get along for a little while at home, but staying home for a long time gets them stir crazy which drives me crazy! So, I've tried to come up with a summer schedule that will work for us and get us out of the house.
To kick-off the summer, we went to Dekan's last day of school where all the kindergarten classes were having a beach bash - lots of fun games for them all.

One last picture with his teacher, and we were off to Peter Piper Pizza.

And Camden, as always, is pleasantly along for the ride.
We played some games, won some tickets,
and they drooled over what they could get - turns out all they could get was a couple of smarties and some tootsie rolls.
One of the things I wanted to make sure and do with the boys was crafts.
So, we decided to make their build-a-bears airplanes. We cut up the boxes they came in and went to work - they loved it.
and took their bears for a ride.
Next day we decided to try our hand at bowling. We signed up for a kids bowl free program and we only have to pay for shoes, so we can do that once a week.
The next day, we were on to another craft (we're trying to do one twice a week). We cut up a bunch of different shapes and were supposed to make pictures.
This is what they came up with. Dekan's is a haunted house and Chandler's a van.
Next day we went to what my kids call, "the hot sauce place."
It's a play area in a mall where the toys are a giant plastic breakfast. They are standing on huge toast with jelly on it and a giant grapefruit is behind them.
Now they are on a giant steak and eggs, and in front of them is a giant bottle of spilled tabasco sauce, hence why they call it the hot sauce place (I told you my kids were creative with names)
Camden is in a big open jelly container
And now cute as can be on the sidelines watching.
Swimming is something we do three times a week. So, we spend about 7 to 9 hours a week in the pool. It's super fantastic in the hot, hot sun.

Camden mostly chills in the shade and occassionally takes a nap.
So, if you are wondering what we are up to this summer, now you do, and you know why I won't be caught up on my blogging as well. Happy Summering!
