Now off to Disneyland

I had never eaten at In-n-out burger before, so we made sure to make a delicious stop and try it - by the way, believe all the rumors you hear about this place. I even had a SoCal native tell me how to expertly order, so it was great.

As you can see our fat faces are getting fatter, but no worries, we will be shedding quickly.
(Give me a break, I just had a baby)

Off to Disneyland. Let me explain the shirts. My family had these made for our reunion. They were fantastic so we could spot someone in our party from a mile away.
Girls in Blue, Boys in Orange - I think we were going for a sort of Boise State theme.

Even Camden got a cute little shirt.

The boys at Monsters Incorporated.

The boys bording the Matterhorn

Oh yeah, the family reunion - the whole reason we made this trip. Almost forgot!
All the boys that were there - brothers, brother-in-law, nephews, husband, sons.

All the girls - sister, mother, nieces, sister-in-laws.

There's some handsome fellows.

Oh wow! I can't tell you how thrilling it is to watch your child meet his first character. Chandler was absolutely mesmerized! Another family was taking a picture with Goofy and Chandler couldn't help himself, he didn't take his eyes off Goofy and walked right up to him. As far as he was concerned there was nobody else in the world just then. We couldn't stop laughing.

Tired boy and irritated boy - we didn't stay too long after this. Too many lines at Disneyland! This was a trip of a lifetime, unfortunately Chandler and Camden won't remember it, but we have proof in pictures that they were there. Thanks Kim, you planned a great reunion!

More Legoland

Some of the fun rides - there were tons for the boys - the place is really geared toward younger kids and is about as big as California Adventureland - probably bigger than that.

It really was amazing how much they could do with little legos. All the above is made from legos!

CALIFORN-I-A!!

Beautiful, isn't it? This is Dave and the boys on the beach as the sun is setting.
We had beautiful weather except for the first day, but it ended well.
At the very end of this longest pier, is a restaurant that we ate at on the day that California was getting pounded with the worst storm of the season. We were getting seasick as we ate because of all the waves.
The sea was angry that day, my friends. (That's a quote, who can tell me where it's from?)
This is the view from our room.

Can't go to the beach without making a sandcastle, right?

Call me a bad parent, but Camden slept on chairs, because the pack and play was too bulky to pack. Good thing he doesn't know how to roll over.

Next, on to Legoland - I highly recommend this for kids under 10, but is awesome for 7 and under. If you can believe it, this is made from legos.
Lego Bob the Builder, NYC, and Volvo
Above was Chandler's favorite ride, the Beetle Bounce, and below is what we have to include in every vacation - miniature golf. (in Legoland, by the way)

Camden just posed in his Snugli and enjoyed the ride.

Valentine's Day

We spent our Valentines Day getting up at 3am and heading out on the road. The boys did very well and Camden was fantastic! He might look upset in this picture but I assure you that he was a delight - the easiest part of the whole trip if you want to know the truth.

The boys had activity books, movies, snacks, and drinks to make it a little easier.

We stopped in Tucson, AZ for a quick rest after we spent 16 hours in the car!
Only to see the biggest cactus ever!

Where did the month go?

I can't believe that February has come and gone! We just got back from a spectacular to Southern California. But, first, some of Camden's favorite helpers. Grandma Blacker came for a visit and made lots of blankets for our new baby because we lost all the other baby blankets.
